Bible Reading Plans

(Reading plans provided by Biblegateway.com)

Any day and any time is the perfect time to start a Bible reading plan. Why is a plan so important? Statistics show that most people without a plan never accomplish their goals. It's an admirable goal to want to read through the Bible. So, decide on a plan and get going with it. It's my prayer that you will hunger for His word, enough to make it one of your greatest goals.

a. Chronological reading plan
tracing the development of God's plan from Adam and Eve to the church of the New Testament? This reading plan introduces you to the major people and events of the Bible in chronological order, beginning with Creation, moving through the birth and history of the Israel nation, and ending with Revelation's prophetic words. It's all broken down into 61 easily-readable segments.

b. Biographical reading plan
The advantages of this approach include ease in seeing the story of the Bible and becoming acquainted with the entire Who's Who of the Bible. As you read, be sure to thank God for what he's going to do in and through you during the months ahead!

c. Comprehensive reading plan
Read the Bible from cover to cover in one year. It takes only about fifteen minutes a day. As you read, ask the Lord to help you see the redemptive story of the Bible. It's the heartbeat of every book from Genesis to Revelation.

d. Survey Bible Reading Plan
This reading plan walks you through key passages from every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in just 61 days. You'll be able to trace God's plan of salvation from start to finish in short, readable selections over the course of three months.

Want to keep it simple? Check out The One Year Bible . Here's a Bible set up into a daily reading format. Just read that days passages, and in one year you will have read the entire Bible. I like the way each day contains some of the old testament, some of the new testament, some Psalm, and some Proverbs.
